Course description
IRCA certified Food Safety Management System (FSMS) lead auditor training course provides food industry professionals with the knowledge and skills required to assess the conformance of an organization's food safety management system to ISO 22000:2005.
FSMS auditor course will help participants to:
- realize the business benefits of an improvement based FSMS
- understand and apply the Plan-Do-Check-Act approach
- consider the principles, processes and techniques used for the assessment and management of food risks in the context of an FSMS audit using the HACCP model
- audit an organizations ability to comply with relevant legislation
- interpret the requirements of ISO 22000:2005 in an audit context
- plan, conduct and report an FSMS audit

- Those who audit an organization's processes as part of the internal audit programme.
- Auditors with competence in another process based management system who wish to acquire the skills and knowledge to audit against ISO 22000:2005 or equivalent
- Those intending to acquire the competence to audit an organization's FSMS to meet the requirements of ISO 22000:2005, either as third or second party auditor.
